Trust and privacy

Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data Talqy collects, why it is needed for the meeting-notetaker service, and how you can control or delete it.

Effective: September 3, 2026 Version: 2026-09-03 Applies to talqy.app

1. Who we are

Talqy is a meeting intelligence service operated by the Talqy product team. It connects to a calendar at the user's direction, joins eligible Google Meet calls as a visible notetaker, records meeting audio with appropriate notice and permission, and creates speaker-attributed transcripts, summaries, decisions and action items.

For privacy questions, data access or deletion requests, contact [email protected].

2. Data we access and collect

Google account data

When you sign in with Google, Talqy receives your stable Google account identifier, verified email address, first name and last name. We use this data to create and secure your Talqy account and workspace. The sign-in flow requests only openid, email and profile.

Google Calendar data

If you separately connect Google Calendar, Talqy requests the read-only https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.readonly scope. This lets us access calendar identifiers and names, event identifiers, titles, start and end times, event status, organizer information, your attendee response status, and Google Meet conference links for calendars you select.

Talqy stores the minimum event projection needed to schedule and update the notetaker: the selected calendar and event identifiers, meeting title and time, event status and Meet URL. Talqy cannot create, edit or delete events through this permission.

OAuth credentials

Talqy stores an encrypted OAuth refresh token so calendar synchronization can run when you are not actively using the site. Short-lived Google access tokens are used to call the Calendar API and are not stored as account records. The separate Google sign-in flow does not retain a Google access or refresh token.

Meeting and service data

When recording is enabled for a meeting, Talqy processes meeting audio, timestamps, speaker activity and names visible in the call, transcripts, summaries, decisions and action items. We also keep user preferences, consent records, service usage, job status, error and security logs required to operate and protect the service.

3. How we use data

  • Authenticate you and maintain your Talqy workspace.
  • Show available calendars and let you choose which calendars to synchronize.
  • Find eligible Google Meet events and schedule a visible Talqy notetaker.
  • Respond to rescheduled, changed or cancelled calendar events.
  • Transcribe meeting audio, identify speaker turns and generate meeting notes.
  • Provide exports and user-controlled sharing of meeting results.
  • Prevent abuse, diagnose failures, measure usage and secure the service.

We do not sell Google user data, meeting data or personal information. We do not use Google user data for advertising, ad targeting or credit decisions.

Google API Limited Use disclosure

Talqy's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Human access to Google user data is prohibited except when you give affirmative permission for support, when necessary for security or abuse investigation, to comply with applicable law, or when the data has been aggregated and anonymized for internal operations.

4. Sharing and service providers

Talqy shares data only in these limited circumstances:

  • At your direction. Meeting results may be shared with the organizer or participants according to your selected policy, or through a link that you explicitly create. You can revoke a Talqy sharing link.
  • Service providers. Hosting, object storage, transcription and summary-generation providers process only the data needed to perform services for Talqy, under our instructions and confidentiality and security obligations.
  • Legal and safety. We may disclose information when legally required or when reasonably necessary to protect users, Talqy or the public.
  • Business change. If Talqy is involved in a merger, acquisition or asset transfer, users will be notified before personal data becomes subject to a materially different policy.

5. Retention and deletion

Google Calendar refresh tokens are retained while your calendar connection remains active. Disconnecting Google Calendar removes the stored connection and token from Talqy. You may also revoke access from your Google Account permissions page.

Calendar event projections, meeting audio, transcripts and summaries are retained while needed to provide your workspace and its meeting history, or until you or your workspace administrator requests deletion. Operational and consent records may be retained for longer when required for security, fraud prevention, billing or legal compliance.

To delete Google-derived data, a meeting, or your Talqy account and associated content, email [email protected] from the address connected to Talqy. We verify the requester and process valid deletion requests without undue delay. Data that must be preserved by law is isolated and deleted when that obligation ends.

6. Your choices and controls

  • Select which calendars Talqy may synchronize.
  • Choose which eligible meetings the notetaker may join.
  • Choose who, if anyone, receives meeting notes.
  • Disconnect Google Calendar in Talqy to remove the stored OAuth connection.
  • Revoke Talqy from Google Account connections.
  • Export meeting transcripts and summaries.
  • Request access, correction or deletion by contacting us.

7. Security, international processing and children

Talqy uses encrypted HTTPS transport, access controls, tenant separation, encrypted Google Calendar refresh tokens and restricted service credentials. No system is completely secure, but we continuously work to prevent unauthorized access, loss and misuse.

Data may be processed where Talqy and its service providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers. Talqy is a business productivity service and is not directed to children under 13 or the minimum age required in their country.

8. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as Talqy changes. The effective date and version at the top identify the current policy. Material changes will be communicated through the service or by email when appropriate.
